Sequoia-backed enterprise Gen AI platform Glean debuts in India

The Palo Alto-headquartered firm's Bengaluru facility will be the center of operations for India, and will house finance, sales, R&D, and business operation functions.

Sequoia-backed enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) platform Glean Technologies on July 5 launched their first office in India. The Palo Alto-headquartered firm will be the center of operations for India, and will house finance, sales, R&D, and business operations functions.

"This innovation site will play a key role in enabling Glean’s customers to deploy Gen AI assistants and applications at scale globally," the company said in a press release.

Glean is being launched at a time when enterprises and startups are trying to capitalise on the rapidly evolving Gen AI scenario in India.

Glean has so far raised over $350 million from top venture capitals that include General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, and Lightspeed, apart from Sequoia Capital. The company is currently valued at over $2.2 billion, with an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) rate of 300 percent year-on-year.
