Samsung’s Exynos 2700 tipped to offer major upgrades in performance and efficiency

Samsung is reportedly developing a vastly improved Exynos 2700 chipset, which could power the company’s Galaxy S27 series in 2027. The chipset could solve the persistent thermal and efficiency issues that have historically plagued Samsung’s previous Exynos processors.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S26 series is set to be powered by the company’s forthcoming in-house Exynos 2600 chipset in limited regions. The company has apparently made substantial progress with the Exynos 2600 thanks to the use of a 2nm GAA manufacturing process, ARM's latest v9.3 architecture, and the latest C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores. However, reportedly, the company has even bigger plans with its successor, the Exynos 2700, which could offer major upgrades in performance, efficiency & thermal design.

Samsung Exynos 2700: Expected performance and efficiency improvements

According to recent posts from tipster Kaulenda (@BairroGrande) on X, the Exynos 2700 is now in work with the internal codename ‘Ulysses.’ It is expected to be built on Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm process, known as SF2P, which is the next-gen iteration of the GAA process utilised by the forthcoming Exynos 2600 chip.
