Samsung’s next big foldable smartphone series is just around the corner, as the tech giant is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE next month. However, Samsung is not stopping there, as multiple leaks and rumours suggest the company to launch its first tri-fold smartphone, likely to be called the Galaxy G Fold, at the end of this year. It will be the company’s response to Huawei's tri-fold Mate XT Ultimate Design, and is likely to be priced in the $3,000-$3,500 range, close to the Mate XT's price tag.

Samsung’s purported Galaxy G Fold with the model number SM-F9680 has now been spotted on China’s 3C certification database, and the listing details reveal that it will support 25W wired charging using the EP-TA800 charger, which has already been available from the company for some time now. This means that Samsung seems to be sticking with the same old 25W limit found on previous Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones.

However, when compared to the competition, this charging speed is pretty slow, as current foldable flagships like the Oppo Find N5 and Huawei’s Mate XT offer up to 80W wired charging speeds. Previous reports have also indicated that Samsung’s first tri-fold smartphone will be geographically limited, as it will likely only launch in select regions like China and South Korea.
