Oppo has confirmed that its next-generation tablet, the Oppo Pad 5, will make its global debut on October 16, the same day the company unveils its Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones in China. The launch was announced through the company’s official Weibo handle, accompanied by a teaser video showcasing the tablet’s front panel and new features powered by ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
The teaser highlights multi-screen support, faster app switching, and enhanced gesture controls—positioning the Pad 5 as a productivity-focused device.
Expected Specifications
Leaks and benchmark listings have already given a fairly detailed picture of what to expect. The Oppo Pad 5 is said to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 512GB of storage. A Geekbench entry for the tablet reported scores of 2,673 (single-core) and 7,839 (multi-core), suggesting flagship-level performance.
The display is tipped to be a 12.1-inch 3K+ LCD panel with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, putting it in direct competition with high-end Android tablets. Oppo is also expected to offer colour choices in Grey, Purple, and Silver.
On the hardware front, the Pad 5 may ship with an 8MP rear camera and a 10,300mAh battery supporting 67W wired charging. At 579 grams, it could be one of the lightest large-screen tablets in its category.
The Oppo Pad 5 will be the company’s flagship push in the global tablet market, arriving as brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus intensify competition in the premium Android tablet space. Its timing alongside the Find X9 series suggests Oppo is aiming to showcase a broader ecosystem strategy.
