“Those years were more than a partnership, they were a masterclass,” Pete wrote, acknowledging the influence of Hasselblad’s legendary attention to detail on OnePlus’ imaging DNA. Now, OnePlus is turning the page, moving into the next phase of smartphone photography with its own imaging engine, called the OnePlus DetailMax Engine.

The new engine is designed to capture scenes exactly as they appear in real life, emphasizing clarity and authenticity. Unlike older computational photography trends, which sometimes enhanced or altered images, DetailMax aims to show everything as it really is.
