The OnePlus 15 has launched in India with a starting price of Rs 72,999, higher than the OnePlus 13 which debuted at Rs 69,999. While the new model introduces the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 7,300mAh battery, the increase in price comes alongside several specification reductions that impact core hardware elements of the device. These downgrades include changes to the display, camera system, haptics, and long-standing signature features.

Display downgrade

The OnePlus 15 shifts to a 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels. The OnePlus 13 offered a 2K (QHD+) panel. OnePlus has noted that the move was required to enable a 165Hz refresh rate at this panel size, but the drop in pixel density remains a clear reduction in display sharpness compared to the predecessor.
