Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the upcoming narrative-driven ensemble RPG featuring Captain America and World War 2 era Black Panther (T’Challa’s grandfather Azzuri), has suffered another delay and won’t be releasing during its scheduled early 2026 window. Developer Skydance Media has now delayed the Marvel action RPG to “beyond early 2026”. This makes it the second major delay for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which was originally planned for a 2025 launch.
In a post on X, Skydance New Media said:

To fully realize our vision for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, we’ve made the decision to shift our release window beyond early 2026.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a role-playing ensemble game that’s being co-developed by Skydance New Media and Marvel Games. The game features four playable characters; you will play as one at a time at different points in the story. The four playable characters include Captain America (a young Steve Rogers), the World War 2 era Black Panther (T’Challa’s grandfather Azzuri), Gabriel Jones and Nanali.
