Instagram is making it easier for you to let your friends know what you’re listening to. Just ahead of World Music Day, the platform has rolled out a new feature that lets you share your current Spotify track directly to Instagram Notes.
So now, if you’re vibing to your favourite playlist, your friends can see it instantly in your Notes section—yes, the one that appears above your DMs.
How does it work?
--When you’re creating a Note, just tap the music icon.
--First-time users will need to link their Spotify account.
--Once linked, if you’re already playing a song on Spotify, it’ll automatically show up in your Note.
--Not playing anything? No worries. Your Note will update with the next song you start within 30 minutes.
--You can even add some text along with the song before hitting “share.”
How to link Spotify and Instagram
Linking your accounts is quick:
--Go to Instagram Settings > Your app and media > App website permissions and link Spotify.
--Or simply tap on a Spotify song you see on Reels, Stories, or in Notes and select “Link Spotify.”
This new integration is all about making music sharing feel more natural and in the moment. So, whether you're obsessed with a new album or want to share a throwback hit, you can now do it right from your Notes.
