Infosys adds 199 employees in Q4, headcount up for third consecutive quarter

For the full year FY25, headcount increased by 6,388 to 323,578 from 317,240 in the previous fiscal year.

Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services firm, reported a headcount increase of 199 in the fourth quarter ending March 31. For FY25, the company added 6,388 employees, bringing its total workforce to 323,578, up from 317,240 the previous fiscal year.

This comes at a time when the company has started opening up hiring across levels, including freshers. In FY25, Infosys plans to hire around 15,000-20,000 freshers following a year of hiring slump.

However, it recently laid off 400 trainees at its Mysuru campus after they failed evaluation tests in three consecutive attempts, Moneycontrol had reported in February. This was approximately half of the trainees onboarded in October 2024.

This is the third consecutive quarter of headcount addition for Infosys. In Q3, Infosys added 5,591 employees, and in Q2, it added 2,456 employees. Prior to that the company had seven straight quarters of headcount decline.
