Infinix has unveiled the GT 30 5G+, a gaming-focused smartphone aimed at the sub-Rs 20,000 market. Packed with features like shoulder gaming triggers, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and a 5500mAh battery with bypass charging, the device is clearly designed with gamers in mind. But with prices starting at Rs 17,999, it also faces stiff competition from performance-first rivals.
Design & Build Quality The Cyber Mecha 2.0 design certainly helps the GT 30 5G+ stand out in the budget gaming space. The programmable white LED lights on the back are a nice touch for gamers, but may feel gimmicky for those looking for a more understated device. Build materials are solid, though at this price point, glass backs are still rare.
Display A 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz touch sampling makes it one of the most display-rich options in the sub-₹20K segment. The brightness of 4500 nits (peak) sounds impressive on paper, though real-world sustained brightness will likely be lower. TÜV Rheinland certification and Gorilla Glass 7i protection add durability.

Gaming Features The standout is the segment-first GT Shoulder Gaming Triggers, offering console-style controls without screen interference. They’re versatile, working with apps and shortcuts too. Bypass charging and a 6-layer vapor chamber cooling system should help sustain long gaming sessions, though actual heat management will depend on optimisation.
Battery and Charging A 5500mAh battery with 45W fast charging is well-balanced. The inclusion of bypass charging is thoughtful for gamers, while reverse wired charging adds utility. Charging speeds are competitive but not class-leading given some rivals now push 67W or 100W in this segment.

Without discounts, the Rs 19,499–Rs 20,999 range puts it against strong all-rounders like iQoo Neo series and Redmi Note Pro models. For gamers, it offers real value; for non-gamers, there may be better-balanced alternatives.
