Smartphones are the most frequently exposed gadgets during travel or commutes. Even if your phone claims to have an IP67 or IP68 water resistance rating, it’s best not to test those limits in a downpour. Always use a waterproof pouch or a sealed zip-lock cover when stepping out. Avoid talking on the phone in the rain, and use wired or Bluetooth earphones instead. If your phone gets wet, turn it off immediately, wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth, remove the SIM card, and avoid charging it until it’s completely dry.
