This feature requires Face ID or Touch ID authentication for critical actions like accessing iCloud Keychain passwords, Lost Mode settings, device erasure, and Safari purchases, offering enhanced protection against potential breaches.

The security feature is activated when an iPhone is detected in unfamiliar locations, such as away from home or work. This triggers additional security requirements to deter unauthorised individuals from making critical changes to the user's account or device.
Steps to enable the 'Stolen Device Protection' feature
To activate this enhanced security feature on your iPhone, follow these simple steps:
Ensure your device is running iOS version 17.3.4 or later. Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install the update if needed.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Go to Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode).
Enter your passcode when prompted.
Scroll down and tap on 'Stolen Device Protection.'
Toggle on the switch next to Stolen Device Protection and confirm by tapping 'Turn On.'
