Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, the second game pack of the definitive Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, has a confirmed release date. It will launch on August 27, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, Konami announced. Currently, pre-orders are open only on the PlayStation Store.
The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (the PS3 original), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (the PS3 HD Collection version of the PSP original) and the franchise’s first handheld game “Metal Gear: Ghost Babel”. Ghost Babel will be selectable within the Bonus Content section of the game pack.
The digital version of the Collection includes Metal Gear Solid: Digital Soundtrack Vol.2. Moreover, each Metal Gear game in the collection packs in a scenario book featuring the text from the respective game, and a master book with detailed insights into the story and characters.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots includes extra features like improved internal resolution, increased maximum frame rate and customisable button control settings.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker comes with customisable button control settings and can be played online in CO-OPS (a 2-4 player cooperative mode), as well as in VERSUS OPS, a competitive mode that allows up to 6 players.
Metal Gear: Ghost Babel also comes with extra features like screen filters, pixel-perfect, screen settings, rewind function and customisable button control settings.
Pre-order benefits and saved data bonus
If you preorder the collection, you’ll get in-game items for each Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version). These include Cardboard Camouflage for Guns of the Patriots and “Uniform: LOVE BOX” for Peace Walker.
If you have saved data for any title included in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1, you can get in-game items for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version). These are Gold Camouflage for Guns of the Patriots and “Uniform: GOLD” for the latter.
Konami will also roll out a final post-launch update to Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1. It adds new visual updates to the games in the collection.
