Google is launching a new program called the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First to support AI startups in India. The program is being run in partnership with the MeitY Startup Hub and focuses on startups working with Agentic AI and Multimodal AI—two areas that are expected to play a big role in the future of AI.

If you're a startup in India that’s Seed to Series A funded and building AI products or models, you can apply for the program before June 30th, 2025.

So, what’s in it for the startups? Here’s what they’ll get:

–They’ll get one-on-one advice from Google experts and mentors from teams like Google DeepMind, Health, and Cloud.
–Startups will receive weekly support to help them with product, technology, and growth goals.
–Selected startups will get free access to Cloud TPUs, Cloud credits (for eligible startups), and Google AI tools like Gemini and Imagen.
–Google’s AI experts will work directly with the startups to help them integrate advanced AI models into their products.
Last year, the accelerator program helped startups secure over $61 million in funding. For example, SpotDraft improved its contract management system using Google’s Gemini API, which helped reduce costs by 80%. Another startup, Kroop AI, enhanced its deepfake detection platform and saw a 40% increase in customer engagement.
