And now, it looks like Google is all set to launch its next budget-friendly phone—the Pixel 9a. When it comes to performance, the Pixel 9a is rumored to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chip. This is the same processor expected in Google’s premium Pixel 9 series. The phone is also likely to have Google’s Titan M2 security chip for extra protection.
As for the software, the Pixel 9a is expected to launch with Android 15 right out of the box. That means the you will get to experience the latest features and updates without having to wait.
Now, let’s talk about cameras. Google’s Pixel phones are famous for their camera quality, and the 9a is no exception. It’s expected to have a 48MP main camera along with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. Selfie lovers? You might get a 13MP front camera—perfect for those crisp selfies and video calls.

If the rumors are true, the Pixel 9a is expected to start at $499 (around Rs 42,000) for the 128GB variant. But in India, the price could go up to Rs 50,000 due to taxes and other costs.
As for the launch, leaks suggest Google might announce the Pixel 9a on March 19, 2025, with sales beginning on March 26, 2025.
