Google has opened a new office in Bengaluru and named it Ananta. It is one of Google’s biggest offices in the world. The name Ananta has been derived from Sanskrit, which means infinite. It reprents Google’s limitless possibilities of technology.

“For two decades, we have been proud to play a role in facilitating this transformation further—through AI-powered flood forecasting, specialized AI models to catch tuberculosis early, and helping millions of people join the formal economy with Google Pay, to name just a few examples.Increasingly, we have been building from India, for the world.Today, we are excited to share another major milestone in our ongoing commitment to India, with the inauguration of Ananta—one of Google’s largest offices globally,” Google said in its blog.

Located in Bengaluru, India’s tech capital, Ananta features one of India’s largest installations of electro-chromic glass. The structure allows natural light, offers better views, and features a layout that encourages teamwork. Each floor follows a city-like plan with clear pathways and small “neighborhoods” for different teams. The heart of the office is a vast open space called Sabha, built for gatherings and discussions.

Google has made sure that Ananta is accessible to everyone. It features tactile flooring for the visually impaired, braille details, and thoughtfully designed amenities. The outdoor areas reflect Bengaluru’s nickname as the ‘Garden City’ with plenty of greenery, walking paths, and spaces to relax.
