Switch between personal and profession accounts
Google has announced a new feature for its Chrome browser on iOS, which will let users easily switch between work and personal Google accounts. It is a boon for those who had to sign out of one account and log into another every time they wanted to access a different account for personal or professional tasks.

Managed account browsing
Google, through a new blog post, explained that this feature is called managed account browsing. The company claims that this improved experience enables businesses to allow users to use the device of their choice, with seamless account switching and data separation.

Organisational support
Organisations can maintain control and decide how the existing browsing data is handled when an employee signs into a company-managed account. The firm administrator will also be notified once any user logs into a managed experience.

Data control
The update is beneficial for companies where employees are accessing company resources on their personal devices. Google says the improved account switching experience and data separation will allow local data, such as tabs, history, and passwords, to stay within the managed account browsing experience, with only the IT admins having control over the information.

Other features
In addition to this account switching feature with data separation, Google has also extended its advanced browser data protections on mobile devices. Available on both Android and iOS, various advanced security capabilities are now being made available under Chrome Enterprise. Further, the company is also introducing URL filtering on both Android and iOS, which blocks users from visiting unapproved websites.
