Apple is making it easier to check app reviews without scrolling through hundreds of them. With iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, the App Store will start showing short AI-generated summaries of user reviews.
Instead of reading a long list of reviews, you’ll see a quick summary that highlights the main points users have shared. These summaries are created using AI and will be updated at least once a week for apps with enough reviews. If something seems off, users can tap and hold the summary to report an issue. Developers can also view these summaries in App Store Connect.
Who can use it?
For now, this feature is available in English and only for a limited number of apps in the U.S. But Apple plans to expand it to more apps, languages, and countries throughout the year.
This update makes finding good apps easier. Instead of reading dozens of reviews, you’ll get a quick idea of what people like (or don’t like) about an app. It also helps developers because their app’s best features and feedback will stand out.
Apple is slowly adding more AI-powered features, and this is just one step toward making the App Store more user-friendly.
