After rolling out the stable update of Android 15 in October last year, Google has revealed the potential release date of Android 16. Android 16’s first developer preview (DP1) rolled out in November, followed by the second developer preview update in December. This is much ahead of the usual timeline and comes as a part of Google’s promise to drive “faster innovation in apps and devices.”

As per a new report by Android Authority, Google is ready to push out beta versions of Android 16 before it can do a stable release in the second quarter of this year. The report adds that Google is likely to release the first beta rollout of Android 16 as early as January 22, which would be right in time for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S25 series will be unveiled.

Similarly, the Android 16 beta 2 update is expected to arrive on February 19. Further, the report suggests that Android 16 could achieve platform stability by mid-March, setting the stage for Beta 4 to arrive in April or May, with a stable release potentially before the end of June.
