Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced two updates across its mobile and broadband services in India. The state-run telecom operator has rolled out a new long-validity prepaid mobile plan called Bharat Connect, while also lowering the monthly price of its Superstar Premium broadband plan. The changes target users looking for fewer recharges and reduced broadband costs.
Bharat Connect prepaid plan explained
The newly launched Bharat Connect prepaid plan is priced at Rs 2,626 and offers a validity of 365 days. With this plan, BSNL provides 2.6GB of high-speed data per day over the entire validity period. Once the daily limit is exhausted, data speeds are reduced as per the operator’s policy.
Along with data benefits, the plan includes unlimited voice calls to any network across India and a daily allowance of 100 SMS. The plan is aimed at users who rely on mobile data consistently and prefer a single annual recharge instead of monthly or short-term plans.
BSNL has clarified that the Bharat Connect plan is being offered for a limited time. The recharge option went live on January 24 and will be available until February 24. Customers can recharge using BSNL Recharge Express, commonly referred to as BReX, which is accessible through the company’s official chatbot.
Superstar Premium broadband plan price cut
BSNL has also revised the pricing of its Superstar Premium broadband plan. The monthly cost has been reduced to Rs 799 from the earlier Rs 999. The plan delivers broadband speeds of up to 200Mbps and comes with a monthly data cap of 5,000GB.
To encourage long-term subscriptions, BSNL is offering a 20 percent discount to customers who choose a 12-month advance payment option. This discount lowers the effective monthly cost further. The revised price and the advance payment offer will remain applicable until March 31, 2026.
OTT benefits and plan upgrades
The Superstar Premium broadband plan includes bundled access to several OTT platforms such as Sony LIV, Lionsgate, JioHotstar, Epic On, Hungama, and Shemaroo. Existing BSNL broadband subscribers can move to the Superstar Premium plan through BSNL’s WhatsApp-based customer support channel.
