Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to become the King of the Ring. The match was short but loaded with action. It started with two early covers by Rhodes, but not enough to pin Orton. The Legend Killer had his moments too as he hit Rhodes with two RKOs but the latter eventually sealed the match with a "Cross Rhodes" - his finisher - after Orton got hurt by crashing his ribs on the exposed turnbuckle. Rhodes now has a chance to reclaim the WWE Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam, a title which he lost to Cena at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year.
Jade Cargill, on the other hand, defeated Asuka to become the Queen of the Ring. It was an intense affair and Cargill now has a shot at the WWE Women's Championship at WWE's biggest party in summer, which for the first time is going to be a two-day affair like WrestleMania.
In another big moment, Solo Sikoa defeated Jacob Fatu to become the new WWE US Champion. The match also saw the introduction of Hikuleo in the WWE roster and the return of Tanga Loa for the first time since War Games at Survivor Series.
In other action, Rhea Ripley defeated Raquel Rodriguez in the Street Fight, which saw an interruption from Roxanne Perez. The match was mostly dominated by the Mexican but Ripley eventually came on top with a avalanche Riptide to win the battle.
