For the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, athletes from every participating country will join a river parade. This procession will navigate a six-kilometre stretch of the Seine, moving from east to west. The parade will commence at the Austerlitz Bridge near the Jardin des Plantes, journeying around the two central islands of the city, Île Saint-Louis and Île de la Cité, before passing beneath several historic bridges and gateways.
