Yograj Singh drags Kapil Dev, Bishan Bedi in Dhoni's Hookah controversy, accuse them of treating players like 's**t'

Yograj Singh, father of legendary cricketer Yuvraj, has jumped in on MS Dhoni's viral Hookah controversy. In doing so, he also namedropped previous legends Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi, accusing the trio of treating the players as "s**t".

The controversy erupted after an old interview of Irfan Pathan went viral. During the interaction, Pathan appeared to have taken a veiled dig at former India captain Dhoni while discussing his sudden exile from the Indian team. He then went to make a Hookah reference, leading to massive emotional outpour and memes on social media. Fans were also quick to dig Dhoni's old photo with ex-India pacer RP Singh, old video of him enjoying a Hookah, and previous interviews linking the veteran wicketkeeper and his fondness for it.

Yograj during an interaction with InsideSport, claimed not just Pathan but his other teammates Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, and Harbhajan Singh being treated in the same manner. He even accused Dhoni of "guilty conscience".

“It is not only about Irfan Pathan. You see Gautam Gambhir speaking about it. Virender Sehwag openly said about it as well. Harbhajan Singh spoke about how he was put out of the team like a fly. You should arrange a jury on why he did what he did. MS Dhoni doesn’t want to answer. One who doesn’t want to answer has a guilty conscience,” Yograj was quoted as saying by the media publication.
