The Lucknow Super Giants’ official X (formerly Twitter) handle stirred up a storm online after sharing a post featuring Indian captain Shubman Gill holding the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Following India’s heroic win at The Oval, which helped them level the five-match Test series 2-2 against England, LSG posted a photo of Gill with the trophy, accompanied by the caption: "Trophy pe Tendulkar ka naam tha. Aise kaise jaane dete (with a blue heart emoji)"

While the post aimed to celebrate the iconic win and Sachin Tendulkar's legacy, it drew mixed reactions, with many fans criticizing the timing and tone of the message.
Earlier in July, just one photo was enough to set social media abuzz. A picture of Gill alongside Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, taken at a charity dinner in London, had gone viral—fueling fresh waves of speculation and fan frenzy online.
The photo, showing Shubman Gill sharing a warm smile while seated near Sara Tendulkar, was taken at a fundraising dinner organized by former cricketer Yuvraj Singh in support of his YouWeCan Foundation.
