The SA20, South Africa's premier T20 cricket league, returns for its exciting third edition, promising fans another action-packed season. The tournament begins on January 9, 2025, with an electrifying opening match between the defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, and MI Cape Town at St George's Park.
The SA20 2025 season will consist of 34 matches spread across 30 days. After the 30 league-stage games, the tournament will progress to the playoffs, featuring Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final. The playoffs are set to begin on February 4.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape enter the season as the defending champions and the most successful franchise in SA20 history, with consecutive titles in 2023 and 2024.
The 2025 SA20 season will showcase six competitive teams battling for the prestigious title. The participating teams are:

SA20 2025: Venues
The SA20 2025 matches will be hosted across six iconic venues: St George’s Park in Gqeberha, Kingsmead in Durban, Boland Park in Paarl, The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, SuperSport Park in Centurion, and Newlands in Cape Town.
Qualifier 1 is scheduled to take place in Gqeberha, while the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be held in Centurion. The grand final will be hosted in Johannesburg on Saturday, February 8.
