During the second Test match against England, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja violated a crucial rule in the recently updated BCCI guidelines. Jadeja had traveled alone to the Edgbaston Stadium, which is strictly prohibited.

Following India's tour of Australia, the BCCI published a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requiring all squad members to travel together on the team bus for all practice sessions and matches. According to the new SOP, traveling alone is strictly forbidden in order to preserve team discipline.

Jadeja broke BCCI regulations by traveling alone to the Edgbaston Stadium, according to a report published by ESPNcricinfo on Thursday. Jadeja arrived at the stadium ahead of the rest of the team to get in some additional batting practice before the game. However, the report also stated that he is unlikely to be sanctioned, especially since he scored an important 89 runs in the game's first innings.
