When Team India, which won the Women's World Cup, visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home on Wednesday, Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma professed her appreciation for him. During the interaction, Deepti said that she finds great inspiration in PM Modi's speeches.
"We were eagerly waiting to meet you and we really enjoyed today. I remember you told me in 2017 that a player is defined by how they pick themselves up and overcome failures. You said, 'Keep working hard,' and that's exactly what we did. Your advice really motivated me," said Deepti. "I often listen to your speeches. You handle things so calmly, and that helps me a lot," she added.

Deepti was also questioned by PM Modi about her "Lord Hanuman" tattoo. "You have a tattoo of Lord Hanuman - how does it help you?" asked PM Modi.
"I have more faith in him than in myself, and that helps me a lot personally in improving my game," replied Deepti.
In Sunday night's final, India defeated South Africa by 52 runs thanks to Deepti's run-a-ball 58 and five-wicket haul while conceding just 39 runs.
Additionally, she was named Player of the Tournament for her all-round brilliance. Deepti topped the bowling charts with 22 wickets from nine games. With the bat, she made a valuable contribution of 215 runs, which included three fifties.
