Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Aktar's YouTube channel has got banned in India on Monday (April 28) following the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people died in the Kashmir valley. Akhtar's channel is among the 16 other channels which got blocked by the Indian government.

Major Pakistani news channels — including Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, and Suno News — have been banned, affecting a combined audience of approximately 63 million subscribers.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India vice-president Rajeev Shukla said that the Indian cricket team will not play bilateral series against Pakistan going forward. The last time India played a bilateral series against Pakistan was back in 2013. After that, the India vs Pakistan games have only taken place in ICC tournaments.
