Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wins their maiden trophy in the Women’s Premiere League (WPL) 2024 beating Delhi Capitals in the final played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Obviously, it was the winners RCB who dominated the most of the awards of the WPL 2024 season.
Ellyse Perry scored 35 runs while spinners Shreyanka Patil, Sophie Molineux and Asha Shobhana claimed nine wickets between them for the RCB.
Ellyse Perry was awarded the Orange Cap for scoring 347 runs in the season while Shreyanka Patil won the Purple Cap for her 13 wickets in this season. Both these players are from RCB.
Deepti Sharma from RCB was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) as the team also clinched Fairplay Award.
Sanjeevan Sajana bagged the award for Catch of the Season and Georgia Wareham won the Electric Striker of the Season award in WPL 2024.
Sophie Molineux was adjudged the player of the match in the final played in Delhi.
