Since joining Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024, Australian left-handed batter Travis Head has greatly strengthened the team. The Sunrisers supporters frequently celebrate the Australian's spectacular batting, which has made him a fan favorite at the City of Nizams.
With 567 runs at an average of 40.50 and a remarkable strike rate of 191.55, Head became SRH's top run scorer in the 2024 season. Head has remained reliable in the 2025 campaign as well. In five games as of April 8, 2025, he has amassed 148 runs at an average of 29.60 and a strike rate of 189.74. He has struck one half-century this season, with his top score being 67.
A fan video featuring the Australian has gone viral on social media in the midst of this. It is common for cricket players to be surrounded by supporters in public settings, especially in a cricket mad country as India. While glitz and fandom are admirable, they can also pose a burden because sometimes it can also violate one's mental health, freedom of movement, and independence.
In a similar and latest instance of the same, a SRH fan is spotted filming a reel featuring Travis Head at a public shopping center. The fan was seen approaching the player for a picture, but the Australian turned him down for apparent reasons.
Despite Head's refusal, the fan kept persisting for a selfie and followed the cricketer while continuously begging for a picture, and also passed some moral lessons in between.
"Please Try to Understand. We Hyderabadis love you and you are not giving any response," the fan can be heard. "He's showing too much attitude," the fan then complains to a fellow fan about Head.
The video has attracted plenty of criticism after going viral on social media, with most slamming the boy's act, which was called inappropriate and lack of consideration for others' personal space.
"Why would he entertain If you invade his Personal space," someone commented on the video. "Maybe he isn't socially available. Respect his boundaries bro," another fan wrote, echoing the same sentiment.
