GT in response managed 202/9 in 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill started the gigantic chase and added 46 for the first wicket before the former was dismissed for 21(16) by ORourke in the 5th over. Gill and Jos Buttler then ran the show before Avesh Khan got rid of the GT skipper for 35(20). Buttler also failed to get going and was dismissed for 33 off 18 balls.
Sherfane Rutherford and Shahrukh Khan kept Gujarat in hunt and added 86 off 40 balls for the fourth wicket before O'Rourke broke the stand. The pacer got rid of Rutherford for 38(22) as he miscued his shot, which was caught by Ravi Bishnoi in the deep. Shahrukh then reached half-century in the same over before the pacer removed Rahul Tewatia for 2(3) in the final ball.
