The Karnataka Police have detained three RCB supporters for reportedly offering a goat as a sacrifice in front of Virat Kohli's cutout at Mariyammanahalli Village on Tuesday. The Times of India claims that a group of young supporters used a weapon to chop a goat's head as a sacrifice offering to Kohli.
As part of the festivities following RCB's victory against CSK on May 3, they also allegedly offered ‘abhishek’ to the cut-out using the goat's blood. The TOI report states that police detained Jayanna, Thippeswamy, and Palayya. A video of the incident that went viral served as the proof for the arrests.

One individual is seen holding a goat in front of Kohli's cutout in the 20-second video, and then another announces RCB's victory over CSK. After that, the goat is killed with a machete, and the blood is offered to the Kohli cutout as raktaabhisheka. A third fan, meantime, was observed using a rope to hold the goat.
The public's negative reaction to the video on social media prompted the Molakalmuru police to file a case and make charges under the appropriate animal cruelty laws.
With eight victories and three losses, RCB is ranked second in the IPL 2025 points standings. With 16 points from 11 games, RCB is now behind table leaders GT (16 points).
With 505 runs in 11 games with a strike rate of 143.46, Virat Kohli is the highest run scorer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and is currently ranked fourth in the Orange Cap race. In light of the growing Indo-Pak tensions, the game in Dharamshala on Thursday was called off in the middle.
