Indian cricket legends Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan strongly criticized Pakistan following a series of explosions in Srinagar and sightings of drones along India’s northern and western borders. These incidents occurred just hours after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday. Sehwag referenced an old Hindi proverb likening Pakistan to a "dog’s tail" that never straightens, while Dhawan labeled the neighboring country a "ghatiya desh" (a disgraceful nation) in response to the breach.
“Ghatiya desh ne fir apna ghatiyapan poori duniya ke aage dikha diya (A substandard country showed its substandard behaviour to the entire world once again),” Dhawan wrote on X.

“Kutte ki dum tedi ki tedi hi rehti hai (a dog’s tail remains crooked no matter what),” Sehwag shared a image of this similar text.
Prominent Indian athletes, including cricket stars Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, along with Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, badminton champion PV Sindhu, and boxing star Nikhat Zareen, voiced their support for the Indian armed forces. They praised the military for taking decisive action against terrorism and responding firmly to repeated provocations from Pakistan.

The ceasefire agreement, proposed by the Pakistani government under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump, was set to begin at 5 PM on Saturday. The truce aimed to halt all military activity between the two nuclear-armed nations.
However, hours after the agreement took effect, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reported explosions in Srinagar. In addition, drones were spotted over Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, triggering power outages in several border regions.
These developments came after three days of heightened tensions, which began with India's launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’—a military response to a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
