Hours before a Pakistan Super League match on Thursday (May 8), a drone struck the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday (May 8), as per IndiaToday. The stadium was set to host a match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, two PSL teams.

The development occurred just hours after India destroyed the air defense radar installations in Lahore on Thursday in retaliation for Islamabad's effort to attack 15 military targets in India.

According to the news agency PTI, Pakistan Army spokesman Lt Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry had earlier stated that some drones had been destroyed in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Miano, Karachi, Chhor, Rawalpindi, and Attock.
