The Men in Blue etched their names in history earlier this month by clinching the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. In recognition of their stellar achievement, the BCCI has announced a massive cash reward of Rs 58 crore for the team. India secured the prestigious title with a thrilling four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final, held on March 9 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men’s Selection Committee," the board said in a statement.
The financial windfall will cover the players, coaching and support staff and members of the men's selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar. The Board did not give a break-up of the reward in its statement.
"Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognises Team India's dedication and excellence on the global stage," said BCCI president Roger Binny in a release.
