AUS vs PAK: Adam Zampa advises Mohammad Rizwan to take DRS

Adam Zampa and Mohammad Rizwan engaged in a hilarious banter during the second ODI between Australia and Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. Australia did lose the match by nine wickets but the Aussie spinner did have a moment to laugh about despite the outcome.

The incident took place during the 35th over when Naseem Shah bowled a bouncer to Zampa, who attempted to pull it but failed to make any connection and the ball was collected by the wicketkeeper. The two got into an exchange after that as Rizwan was heard on the stump mic asking Zampa if he should take the DRS for a caught-behind. Zampa in jest said yes, following which Pakistan's new white-ball captain didn't waste a second before signaling for the DRS.

Rizwan was heard telling Zampa: "Heard something?" to which the tail-ender responded "You blokes appeal for everything." Rizwan then asked Zampa: "Can I take it?" and the Aussie responded ''You should take it".

Rizwan’s ‘T’ signal sparked a fit of laughter from the commentary team. It wasn’t his call to take the DRS after Zampa’s confirmation, but the fact that he still asked if there had been an edge—despite the clear evidence to the contrary—made it all the more amusing. As the review concluded, it was evident there was a clear gap between the ball and the bat.
