Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian pacer, clarified on Thursday that he has no immediate plans to retire from T20I cricket. When asked about his potential retirement from the shortest format of the game, Bumrah responded, "It's a long way away." His statement follows India's victorious campaign in the T20 World Cup, where they clinched the title by defeating South Africa in the Barbados final.

Bumrah played a pivotal role in India's success, delivering exceptional performances throughout the tournament. Despite prominent players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announcing their retirement from T20Is after the World Cup, Bumrah expressed his firm intention to continue representing India in T20Is for the foreseeable future.
