The stars, named HOPS 150 and HOPS 153, are protostars – young stars still in formation. They are part of the Herschel Orion Protostar Survey, conducted using the European Space Agency’s Herschel Space Observatory. These stars represent the dynamic processes of the universe's creation, glowing with distinctive colours and activity.

HOPS 150: A Binary Star System in Formation
