Sawan First Somwar: Puja Vidhi 

Follow these steps to perform Shiv Puja with devotion:

• Wake up during Brahma Muhurat, bathe, and wear clean clothes.


• Purify your puja space with Ganga Jal.


• Place idols or pictures of Lord Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesh.


• Take a Sankalp (vow) to observe the fast sincerely.


• Offer Gangajal, milk, and Panchamrit on the Shivling.


• Present Bel Patra, Dhatura, Bhang, white flowers, fruits, sweets, and uncooked rice.


• Light a ghee diya and incense sticks.


• Chant “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times.


• Perform Shiv Aarti and pray for well-being.


• Fast with fruits and break the fast the next morning after donating to the needy.
