Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: As the Maha Kumbh 2025, the world’s largest religious gathering, approaches, visitors are flocking to Prayagraj’s iconic Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati rivers. Among the many attractions at this grand event, camel rides from Qila Ghat to the Sangam Nose have emerged as a unique highlight, delighting tourists and families alike. These camels, brought in all the way from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, are beautifully adorned and bear charming names like Ramu, Ghanshyam, and Radheshyam, adding a royal touch to the experience.

For visitors, the camel rides offer more than just a mode of transportation—they provide an opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural and spiritual atmosphere of the Maha Kumbh. Vijay Jaiswal, a tourist from Azamgarh, shared his excitement about the ride. "The event here in Prayagraj is grand, with meticulous preparations. The camels are the centre of attraction, and riding one was an incredible experience. It’s something we truly enjoyed as a family," he said.

Jaiswal expressed his amazement at the captivating environment of the Sangam. "When we arrived, we didn’t know what to expect. But this place has completely drawn us in. The beauty of the Sangam is mesmerising, and the camel ride made it even more special. I’ve ridden camels before, but this experience was unmatched," he added, describing his newfound fondness for one particular camel, Manju.

The camel rides have also garnered praise for the festive ambience they create. Raju Gupta, another tourist, was equally enthusiastic about his visit. "The arrangements made by Modi Ji and Yogi Ji are commendable. The atmosphere here is serene and beautiful, especially in the chilly weather. The camel ride was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed roaming around with friends. Before this, we visited Banaras, which was amazing too, but the vibes here are entirely unique and refreshing," Gupta said.
