Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani praised the Uttar Pradesh administration for their outstanding management of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, during his visit to Prayagraj. He described the event’s organization as a remarkable example of efficient administration, worthy of being studied by management institutes and corporate houses worldwide.
Speaking about the scale of operations, Adani highlighted the dedication of police personnel and sanitation workers, whose relentless efforts ensure the smooth functioning of the world’s largest religious gathering. He remarked, “The way millions of people are managed, and the manner in which all arrangements are maintained, is a subject of study for management institutes and corporate houses.”
He further noted the spiritual and cultural significance of the event, adding, “There is nothing greater than receiving the blessings of Maa Ganga.”
During his visit, Adani also emphasised the immense potential of Uttar Pradesh, highlighting its population of 27 crore and the opportunities for development. He reaffirmed the Adani Group’s commitment to increasing investments in the state and supporting its economic growth.
On a personal note, Adani shared details about his son Jeet Adani’s upcoming wedding, scheduled for February 7. He described the ceremony as a simple and traditional affair, reflecting their family’s modest approach. “Jeet’s marriage will be very simple and in a proper traditional way,” he said.
Adani and his family offered prayers and performed aarti at the sacred Triveni Sangam. Additionally, the Adani Group has partnered with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to serve meals to devotees as part of the Mahaprasad Seva initiative.
The Mahaprasad Seva aims to feed up to 50 lakh devotees during the Mela, which runs until February 26, 2025. Meals are prepared in two large kitchens, both inside and outside the Mela premises, and are distributed at 40 different locations throughout the event.
Adani’s visit underscores the spiritual essence of the Maha Kumbh while also highlighting its exemplary management and community-oriented initiatives, making it a globally admired event.
