A top official from North Korea has reiterated the country's warning to conduct a hydrogen bomb test over the Pacific Ocean.
North Korean official Ri Yong Pil warned that Pyongyang’s threat to conduct a hydrogen bomb test above the surface should be taken seriously, as per a report by CNN.
"The foreign minister is very well aware of the intentions of our supreme leader, so I think you should take his words literally," said Ri Yong Pil in an interview with the CNN.
He further added that the country 'has always brought its words into action'.
Back in September, Ri Yong Ho, the foreign minister of North Korea had raised the possibility of Pyongyang testing a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific by coming up with strong statements at the UN General Assembly.
With the latest comments, Ri Yong Pil, has now made it clear that the country has every intention to carry on the threat.

The statement comes at a time when the world is pondering how to tackle a defiant Pyongyang as it continues with its nuclear and missile tests even after facing economic sanctions and political isolation.
Pyongyang has shown its disregard to international pressure after it tested a missile over Japan and also threatened to launch a strike on Guam - an unincorporated territory of the US.
