Hezbollah announced early Saturday that it is currently engaged in clashes with Israeli troops in the border region of Lebanon. This follows Hezbollah's claim that its fighters had previously forced Israeli soldiers to retreat in the same area.
According to Hezbollah, "Israeli enemy soldiers renewed an attempt to advance towards the vicinity of the municipality in the village of Adaysseh," prompting confrontations that are still ongoing. The group had earlier asserted that its fighters successfully drove the Israeli forces back.
The Iran-backed Lebanese group also reported targeting Israeli troops in the south Lebanon area of Yarun with a "rocket salvo," as well as striking soldiers at two other points across the border.
The exchange of cross-border fire between Hezbollah and Israel has persisted nearly daily for almost a year, with Hezbollah stating its actions are in support of its Palestinian ally, Hamas, amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.
In response, Israel has intensified its military operations, aiming to secure its northern region for the return of displaced residents. This week, Israeli forces confirmed the initiation of ground raids into parts of southern Lebanon.
