An Audi commercial aired in China that compares used cars to women has drawn flak from netizens all around the world.
The advertisement begins with a wedding scene where a couple is waiting to read their vows. Before the groom says "I do" his mother intervenes and runs to inspect the bride. The mother pulls the bride's ear and nose to make sure she is ‘perfect’. After the mother is done, she signals her approval much to the relief of the couple.
However, in the very next scene, the mother immediately shifts her attention to the bride’s bosom to which the anxious bride covers her chest area with her hands. The advertisement then shows a red Audi sedan whizzing past on a highway with a voiceover saying: “an important decision must be made carefully.”

The netizens flooded Weibo, a Twitter-like platform in China, with criticism and disapproval of the apparently sexist ad, according to a report in The Washington Post.
Terming the advertisement “disgusting” people urged others to boycott the automaker whereas several others asked for an apology, stated the report. A Weibo page devoted to the ad has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
An Audi spokesperson, talking to The Washington Post, regretted the advertisement and informed that it has been withdrawn.
“The ad’s perception that has been created for many people does not correspond to the values of our company in any way,” the report quoted Audi spokesman Moritz Drechsel.
