Russian strikes wound dozens, cut power as Ukraine faces freezing temperatures

Russian aerial attacks wounded over a dozen and cut power to tens of thousands of Ukrainians as freezing temperatures set in. Kryvyi Rig was hit, injuring 17 and damaging buildings. Moscow claimed it downed 110 Ukrainian drones, marking Kyiv’s largest attempted barrage in over two weeks. An energy facility in Sumy was also struck, leaving 37,000 without power. As Ukraine braces for another harsh winter, Russia continues to target infrastructure. Meanwhile, Russia’s Kursk region faced heavy drone interception, and Kazan airport temporarily closed due to safety concerns. President Putin will meet BRICS leaders later this week in Kazan.
