Zomato has officially announced the return of the Zomato Feeding India Concert (ZFIC), a significant initiative aimed at combating malnutrition and hunger across the country. The concert, which has previously garnered international attention, will see pop sensation Dua Lipa headlining this year’s event.
Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato, made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his enthusiasm for the event and highlighting the concert's broader purpose. "ZFIC is back! Headlining this year’s event is my favourite global pop icon Dua Lipa, an inspiration to millions worldwide!” Goyal wrote in the post.
The Zomato Feeding India Concert is a part of Zomato's ongoing efforts to address critical issues like hunger and malnutrition in India. According to Goyal, the concert serves as a catalyst for community mobilisation, bringing together artists, philanthropists, and the public in a unified effort to create a hunger-free India.
Meanwhile, the concert is scheduled to take place on November 30, 2024, in Mumbai, although the exact venue is yet to be announced. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale starting August 27. Proceeds from the concert, including donations, will go directly towards Zomato’s Feeding India initiative, reinforcing the company's commitment to making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
