Remember the flat located in Bengaluru on Indiranagar 80 feet road, next to a café called Lazy Suzy and right opposite 12th main? Well, the 2BHK flat in the tech city sparked a memefest on X in September after a software engineer with the username @Bharath_MG wanted to rent it out but increased the rent but after his listing went viral and got a lot of attention.
Now, the “most memed” apartment has finally been taken. A user by the name of Mayank Kale shared his move update on X and the post obviously went viral online. Kale, the co-founder and CEO of Loop Health also shared a picture of the aesthetic flat that was meme fodder a month ago.
“@peakbengaluru move update — I won the most memed apartment in the city,” he wrote in the caption of the post.
Needless to say that Kale’s post grabbed a lot of eyeballs online and social media users flocked to the comments section to share their amusing thoughts.
“Congrats! What was harder, the YC interview or the one that the owner took for this house?” a user questioned. Another user commented, “How does it feel to be God's favourite?”
A third user wrote, “No one’s forgetting this space in a long long time. Have a great stay in this lovely apartment.
“Wait, so this house actually exists?” a fourth user asked.
While some people asked about the rent of the house, others compared it to a set from a Wes Anderson film.
“Looks like a set from a Wes Anderson movie. And the teapot adds to the aesthetic,” another person remarked. A user added, “How many bitcoins you paid as deposit?”
Meanwhile, the rent of the most viral apartment of Bengaluru was initially set at Rs 45,000. However, after people flocked to @Bharath_MG's listing, it was increased to Rs 55,000. As his post became the basis of a viral meme, the software engineer deleted it.
The “renting out a flat” situation in Bengaluru is quite bizarre to say the least and has been a part of several discussions on social media. From landlords rejecting potential renters on the basis of Class 12th marks to asking people for their LinkedIn profiles, the city has seen it all.
