Man turns out to be only passenger on flight, parties with crew after 18-hour delay

In today's dose of bizarre news, we have a story about a man who waited for his flight for a whopping 18 hours. So, Phil Stringer was heading back to his home from Oklahoma City to Charlotte when the flight got delayed. Not an ordinary delay but 18 hours. Naturally, other passengers gave up or booked another flight. But, Phil's patience got him bumped to first class and a party with the crew.

According to the New York Post, Phil was the only passenger on the flight and partied with the crew in first class. He told Insider that he felt awful for making the American Airline flight show up just for him. But, the crew made the most of the situation and turned it into a "private party" in the sky.

"I went to the gate and nobody was there. I was like, 'Did you guys already board everyone?'" Phil said while talking about his experience. To which the flight attendant replied, "No, honey, you're the only passenger."

He also posted a video of the same on TikTok and wrote, "When you buy every single ticket on the plane so you don't have to deal with people."
