US baby brand launches 'breast milk-flavoured' ice cream. Internet is confused

Despite its name, the ice cream does not contain actual breast milk, as it is not approved by food regulators in the US. Instead, Frida stated that the ice cream would closely mimic the “goodness” of breast milk, incorporating several key nutrients found in it.

Frida, a popular baby care brand in the US, has announced the launch of a breast milk-flavoured ice cream to celebrate the release of its 2-in-1 manual breast pump. In an unusual twist, customers eager to taste the new product will have to wait nine months from the date of the announcement—mirroring the length of a pregnancy.

According to a press release, the company aims to answer a long-standing question: “What does breast milk actually taste like?”
