London Olympics 2012: Relive some milestone moments

Today, we are going to look back at what the London Olympics 2012 delivered to India in terms of sporting achievement, to Britain, the host country in terms of reputation and business and to all of us in terms of entertainment and inspiration.  

Book-ended by the opening ceremony that was in parts whimsical, in parts subversive but always imaginative. The closing ceremony, which was one big rocking after party, London 2012 lived up to its top billing.

Usain Bolt emerged as the worlds premier athlete, Michael Phelps became the Olympian with the most number of medals in history. The United States topped China in the medals tally once again. Closer home, India's athletes turned in our best showing ever in terms of medals. Let's relive some of those milestone moments.
